Andrew Fearney

Andrew Fearney is Sandbag’s Communications Officer, with a strong foundation in EU affairs and political communication.

Andrew completed a Schuman Traineeship in the Security Unit of the European Parliament, gaining practical experience in institutional operations. He also studied Data Analytics, a skillset he finds increasingly valuable for interpreting and communicating climate-related data. At Sandbag, Andrew helps shape public narratives around the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS), the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and broader industrial decarbonisation efforts. He works closely with the policy team to increase Sandbag’s visibility, digital reach, and impact, contributing to publications, outreach campaigns, and policy messaging.
