Duncan Woods

Duncan Woods is an Industrial Decarbonisation Analyst at Sandbag. He is leading Sandbag’s research and analysis into decarbonisation technologies relating to industrial processes, including hydrogen, CCS/U, and sector-specific technologies. His research also encompasses drivers of the demand for polluting products and processes, such as industry standards, green market premiums, green finance, procurement policies and command/control regulations.

Prior to joining Sandbag, Duncan worked as a Senior Consultant in the field of Energy and Carbon Regulation at the global environmental consultancy firm Ricardo. Before this he obtained a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Liverpool, awarded for his work developing materials for sustainable hydrogen production. He also holds a Masters degree in Industrial Chemistry from Durham University.
