Duncan Woods

Duncan Woods is an Industrial Decarbonisation Analyst at Sandbag.

Duncan holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Liverpool for his work developing materials for sustainable hydrogen production. Before joining Sandbag, Duncan worked as a Senior Consultant in energy and carbon regulation at global environmental consultancy firm Ricardo.

He is now leading Sandbag’s research and analysis into decarbonisation technologies for industrial processes, including hydrogen, CCS/U, and sector-specific technologies. His research also encompasses drivers of the demand for polluting products and processes, such as industry standards, green market premiums, green finance, procurement policies, and command/control regulations.
